race day -2
a full day today: morning swim with Tommaso, breakfast, registration at the race, 90 min bike on the championship bike course, lunch and little beach time with katja, shopping at the race expo, 30` run at sunset. shower and then pasta party and race briefing...... need more rest!!!For the record, the water is cold! but the swim went OK. bike course is not as flat as they say and today was very windy.
The run was a disaster as my leg is really painful, the tendinitis is still there, alive and kicking. the rest day did not help, I dont know how it will be during the race.
Here in Clearwater the atmosphere is amazing, there are athlets everywhere, some run, some bike, some swim in the gulf of mexico, they are all over, the pasta party was full of athlets. we will be 1800 from all over the world as people qualified in races around the world. there will be 130 athlets in my cathegory. Tomorrow little training then lots of rest.

In this picture I meet Sister Madonna Boder a legend in Ironman history. she did more than 20 Ironman Hawaii and 5 championship in clearwater and she is ..... 80 years old.
